day after she quit congress and joined BJP, Rita Bahuguna joshi asked senior Congress member and RS MP Kapil sibal to apologise for his remarks that she had failed to return his money "It is unbecoming of a senior leader like Sibal and his statement reflects the actual character of Congress leaders and the levels to which ey can stoop to," Joshi told TOI on Friday. Soon after Joshi, a former Congress UP unit chief, joined BJP on Thursday, Sibal in a TV interview termed her a "migratory bird" who had left with his money .Joshi clarified that as a congress mla she had sought Sibal's MPLAD (local area development) fund for her Lucknow Cantt constituency since Sibal was recently elected to the upper house from Uttar Pradesh and this was not anyone's personal money. Joshi said she wrote to Sibal and Lucknow collector on Thursday to withdraw the fund and freeze the account since she won't be with the Congress any more and is also quitting as MLA. "I wrote to them at 5.30 pm soon after joining BJP," she said. Joshi said Sibal's statement is highly objectionable and misleading as he insinuated that she had run off with his personal money .
