Smriti Irani Face To Face With A Cobbler Wayside

Union Minister for Textiles mending her Foot wear on way side in Coimbatore hit Head lines of National Media. She is known for her down to earth image. On Saturday she attended Isha Foundation programme outside the Coimbatore. On her way she stopped opposite the Perur Patteeswarar Udanamar Pachainayagi Amman Temple, the way side cobbler to mend her foot wear. After getting down her car , she sat down comfortably beside the cobbler Ganesh for more than 10 minutes. She asked the cobbler how much to pay. He asked 10rupees as charge. After completion of the repair minister gave 100rupee note to the cobbler Ganesh. He told that he does not have change for hundred. Then she asked him to keep the note with him. But the cobbler is also an upright person like the minister. He volunteered to repair what she is wearing other foot in return. Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) State vice president Vanathi Srinivasan, was along with her. After this minister proceeded to the Isha Foundation to address a gathering on ‘The DNA of Success’.
